Galliford Try and Morrison Construction joint venture wins 拢4m infrastructure contract
The opening civils package on the 拢380m Bath Western Riverside regeneration scheme has been awarded to a Galliford Try and Morrison Construction joint venture.
The works are connected with public infrastructure improvements for phase 1 of a huge new urban quarter on the edge of the city.
Contractors will carry out highways improvements, strengthen river walls and refurbish the existing bridge in a package of works worth around 拢4m.
Developer Crest Nicholson recently secured planning permission for the 18ha scheme, which will include 2,000 houses.
Buro Happold is the engineer for the project and Davis Langdon is project QS.
