Jeremy Hackett, the rebel member of the RICSā governing committee, has died suddenly.
Hackett, 66, was taken ill and died while on holiday in Krakow, Poland, on Monday 7 April.

Hackett, who was a QS at Schofield Lothian, gained notoriety in the RICS for his criticisms of the bodyās treatment of its members, particularly over its fee increases.
Michael Byng, chairman of the RICSā QS and construction faculty, said: āJeremy was a spirited individual, and although he may not have been to everyoneās taste, he was the conscience of us all. He read the rules and asked the questions that others perhaps would not. He will be much missed.ā
