Architect Broadway Malyan has delivered the concept masterplan for a 17km2 extension to Sadr City in Baghdad. The scheme, worth $10bn (拢6.12bn), will be built in the area formerly known as being one of the most dangerous in Iraq after the fall of Saddam Hussein. The district will house over 500,000 inhabitants.
